About this blog

Hello, I’m Rosa Ronco, the girl behind the scenes of ChicDecó, a lifestyle blog that covers design and styling in all its forms – from interiors to food, photography, art and craft.

My blog was started up 2008 to document my decorating inspirations and to reach like-minded people with a passion for interiors, and has been alive since. Along the way I’ve met amazing creative people and made life-time friends.

ChicDecó has been featured by interior design magazines like Australian Home Beautiful, and named by international brands as one of the 5 Best Interior Design Blogs in Spain.

I’m originally from Spain, born in Toledo and spent most of a big part of my life in Madrid, where I studied my bachelor degree in Communications (Advertising & PR), and a Master degree in Advertising Management.

After graduating from uni, I worked for more than a decade for world renowned professional service companies. I managed brand strategies and digital marketing campaigns for leading organisations in Australia and Europe.

In 2010 I moved to Australia where I’m currently living with my family. The huge interest about interior design found in this country encouraged me to go back to the classroom and study Interior Design at the Interior Design Institute of Australia. After that, I worked as Marketing Manager in an Australian interior design firm. I’m currently working as a freelance designer and consultant for different interior design firms, and am a regular contributor of Houzz.

I always dreamed of living a creative life and being paid for doing what I love the most. And that’s why in 2012 I took the step of quitting my day job to become a full-time blogger and a free-lance designer.

Note: ChicDecó is a bilingual blog that brings daily updates on both languages, Spanish and English. Spanish is editor’s mother tongue, and every article is translated into English and adapted in the best possible way to reach a wider audience.
